FEBRUARY 2 – FEBRUARY 12, 2012
Emma
Henry Cuttup is a struggling writer in the midst of creating his new play. Janet Trial, his wife, doesn't want to face her own family past so she continually pushes Henry to confront his.
In doing so Henry develops a new play that ends up releasing his inner turmoil in both worlds. Mabel Weaver owns a small farm house on the outside of town. Her son, Cody Weaver, is a bigoted long haul truck driver still living at home. Emma Pool is their African American housekeeper who has a past that comes back to haunt them all. The play moves back and forth on the open set between time periods as Henry begins to uncover his painful past while trying to finish Emma's story.
